According to DownRightNow.com (and by attempting to log into Twitter.com) Twitter is currently down. In the wake of Google Talk going down this morning, people are wondering if the events are somehow related.

Ironically, if you try to Tweet out the update, it fails as well.

Update: 12:27pm EST Twitter seems to be back up. Twitter.com works and statuses can be sent from 3rd party dashboards like MarketMeSuite. The cause for this outage is still unknown.
